Location/Directions

Real Del Mar is a private, residents-only facility; fewer than 40 residences will ever be built here. The beach club and other amenities are only available to residents, so you'll never have to look for an open space to lay down your towel, or wait in line to get a margarita. Real del Mar is about 45 minutes northwest of downtown Puerto Vallarta and about 20-25 minutes from the airport. It is perfectly located between Punta de Mita & Puerto Vallarta. 28 acres in Bahia de Banderas.

Driving Directions from the Airport

You will need these directions if you are renting a car, and you may also need them if you are taking a taxi. Real del Mar is relatively new (Real del Mar is not the name of a town – it is a residential development), and many of the taxi drivers have not been there yet (or even heard about it).

To get you started, ask your rental car agent to point you in the direction of Punta Mita.

• Head NORTH on the FEDERAL HIGHWAY 200 towards Punta de Mita
  (you should be traveling away from Puerto Vallarta). You will stay on the
  highway for 20-30 minutes.
• As you pass through the towns of Nuevo Vallarta and Bucerias, keep an eye
  out for billboards for Real del Mar.
• Approximately 2 miles after the town of Bucerias, take the exit for PUNTA DE
  MITA. You will exit to the right and cross back over the highway.
• Continue for another 5 minutes, passing through the very small town of la Cruz
  de Huanacaxtle.
• As the road begins to go uphill, keep an eye out for a long sky blue wall on
  your left and the sign for Real del Mar.
• Exit the ramp to your RIGHT that winds down towards the gate at Real del
  Mar. The guard can direct you to your residence.
